Trending story of a 1996 incident where a Gorilla carried a 3-year-old boy to safety after he fell into its enclosure

An 8-year-old female gorilla at an Illinois zoo named Binti Jua, made worldwide headlines when she carried a boy to safety after he slipped away from his mother, climbed through a barrier and fell nearly 20 feet into the Western Lowland Gorilla Pit, located at the Brookfield Zoo, on Aug. 19, 1996.

The boy who suffered a broken hand and cuts to his face was lying on the ground of the pen where six other gorillas were present, before Binti Jua picked him up around the waist, carried him safely to a door where rescuers waited as a crowd looked on.

The gorilla was reportedly following her maternal instincts considering she carried her own 17-month baby on her back throughout her encounter with the boy. The rescued boy and his mother were also never identified and the now 28-year-old gorilla is still living in the Brookfield Zoo gorilla exhibit.

It has been an honour to manage such a magnificent club as Manchester United FC, and in doing so, I have fulfilled a long-held ambition. I am immensely proud to have helped United win the FA Cup for the 12th time in the club's history. I have been privileged during my management career to have won 20 trophies but winning the FA Cup, which is steeped in so much history, will always be one of the most special achievements of my career. I am very disappointed to be unable to complete our intended three-year plan.

I believe that the foundations are firmly in place to enable the club to move forward and achieve even greater success. I hope that winning the FA Cup will give the club a platform to build upon next season to restore the success that this passionate set of fans desire. Having managed in Holland, Spain and Germany, I had always hoped for the opportunity to manage in English football and be part of English culture. Both of these experiences have lived up to expectations and been fantastic. I thank my players and wish them well for next season. It has been a pleasure to work with them and it has been particularly rewarding to see so many young players take their chance to break into the first team and excel. I look forward to watching the continued development of these young players next season. Thank you to the owners and board of Manchester United for giving me the opportunity to manage this great club. I would also like to express my gratitude to the amazing United supporters. Borno-born billionaire, Mohammed Indinmi, is the lead donor of Lynn’s newest faculty, the $14m Mohammed Indimi International Business Center.The university is a private, coeducational institution located in Boca Raton, Florida. Founded in 1962.
The centre was dedicated in 2014 and is a state of the art facility, outfitted with technology systems to enhance the students’ educational environment , with 11 classrooms and a wealth of other areas such as a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), a Venture Lab, an Investment and Trading room and a new Career Preparation and Internship Centre.
15 other new spaces also provide conference and meeting areas for collaborations between students, faculties and corporations.He also received an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from the university on May 12, 2012 and a gala was held to recognise Indimi’s business and philanthropic achievements.
Mohammed Indimi was born in August 1947 and founded Oriental Energy in 1990, of which he is still chairman. He is an in-law of former Nigerian president and retired Nigerian Army general Ibrahim Babangida.
Oriental currently has three projects offshore of Nigeria’s Niger Delta region. Six of his children serve on the company’s board. His net worth dropped from an estimated $670 million a year ago due to ongoing low oil prices.
